When your self-image or self-esteem is negative, you tend to do things that promote your daily life or your overall well-being.

You can drink a lot of alcohol, eat a lot or not pay attention to your diet, you can characterize others negatively as a way to boost your self-esteem, you can avoid doing things that make you happy and make you happy.

The image you have of yourself is often unconscious. The way you behave at any given moment depends on how much you like yourself at that moment.

Your self-image is not static, it is constantly changing throughout the day. When it’s negative, you may be thinking, ‘I do not deserve this’ or ‘I do not deserve it’.

Common characteristics of people with a negative self-image

People with negative self-image tend to be compared to other people. Observe the moments when you compare yourself with other people, judge them, or even criticize them. This is a common sign that your self-image is negative and you are trying to use others to give it the necessary impetus it lacks.

Another feature is your inability to accept compliments. Imagine that someone comes and tells you “you did a great job”. What would you answer? A person with a positive self-image would probably smile and say “thank you very much”. A person with a negative self-image may say something like “okay”, “slow down”, “it was not important” or “I could do it better”.

People with negative self-image also find it difficult to compliment other people. This could be due to the fact that they are too busy with their own to observe other people’s wonderful work or it may be due to their fear. In the event that their coping may not be successful and lead to disaster.
